Seven Minutes return with Part 3.1
Nearly a year since the first exhibition from the Seven Minutes collective in July 2011, where they had created a gallery space above Wholesome Grocery Store on Swan Lane (now no longer in existence), the team return with the third instalment of their sleepy narrative. Pasted on four telephone cable boxes in and around the heart of the Norwich Lanes (one on Lobster Lane, two on Pottergate & one on St. Benedicts Street), these temporal artistic totems are left exposed to the public and the elements.

CHANGE: Clients of LEAP
9th July until 13th July
LEAP is a project that supports homeless people incorporate employment, education and training with accommodation opportunities. It’s a partnership project between St Martin’s Housing Trust and Norwich City Council. After an initial three years in October LEAP gained Big Lottery funding that enabled us to move to new offices on Upper Goat Lane. These offices were bare and needed something on the walls to create a good creative and relaxing environment for our clients.
To create some art and to fill the wall space, we partnered City College to run Photographic Club.. An initial taster session took place and clients got the chance to discuss a criteria and subject area for the project. They decided on “change”. Since then the service users have been assisted by FdA Arts and Wellbeing students from City College, and over the last few months have taken pictures one evening a week. The project has been a real success with some really good pictures being produced. The clients really enjoyed it, some of them wishing to pursue further courses in Photography.
